Diesel engines need plenty of air to produce power and proper emissions. When you are pulling up a hill or accelerating, a high flow exhaust is critical for good engine performance.

The DuraMax engine is a high speed diesel that needs to breath. Increasing the exhaust to a 4" mandrel bent system with a high flow muffler improves the turbo response. Quiet, there is a DuraMax running.

On the original 6.5 engine installation, the turbo down pipe is attached and results in a crushed pipe. On the original 6.5 exhaust, there are flow restrictions at the turbo outlet pipe and in the muffler. The rest of the pipe is usually only a 2.75" diameter. Our 3" and 4" full mandrel bent aluminized pipe corrects the problem. Giving the engine what it needs, improved turbo response and high airflow ability.

High flow air filters are recommended to complete these performance kits.
